INSOMNIA: AN ALT STREETWEAR BRAND FROM LA
2018
Founded in 2018, Insomnia was started by Nicholas Dinh in his senior year of school, making most of the designs during photography class and selling t-shirts out of his backpack.
The designs focused around what kept him up at night and the hobbies he had at the time (anime + horror). His goal was to make designs relatable and affordable.

2019
Nick took an under-the-table part time job at a screenprint shop to learn the ins and outs of the industry, from blanks to the clothing making process.
Around this time, Nick had the opportunity to meet Juice WRLD and DJ Scheme, who changed his perspective on what it meant to build a brand. Ski Mask The Slump God even rocked a bunch of Insomnia gear around this time.
Soon after, he quit his job to focus on Insomnia full-time to see how far he could take it.

2020-2021
Insomnia began to pick up traction during the COVID years, due to the massive success of the signature SCREAM HOODIE. These hoodies sold out within a few hours the first time they were dropped, and sold out several times thereafter.
The Oni Hoodies also picked up steam and both of these hoodies went viral several times on Tiktok with 2M+ views.

2022
2022 was a slow year, as Nick was focused on improving his mental health. He wasn't putting his all into the clothing and unfortunately lost the love for the art.
However, by the end of 2022, his friend Dave Nash joined the team and this flipped a switch in Nick's mindset. His drive & love for clothing came back, and they are taking on 2023 together.
2023
After the successful first drop of the year things are looking on track for Insomnia Visuals.
Our Cathedral Hoodies have sold out over 10 times by the end of the year and we released over 20-30 new products!

2024
We've continued to push boundaries in the alternative streetwear world, dropping our first major collection for the Spring - Summer 2024 season.
